Your local theatre in the Village Hall

In 2007 Swanland Village Hall was one of the first local community halls to take part in an experiment to bring a “cinema experience” to the villages of East Riding of Yorkshire. Swanlanders have no need to get into the car, find somewhere to park and sit in a soulless multiplex cinema with a scattering of unknown other people. They can walk to the centre of the village and experience a social, cinema occasion friends and neighbours. This was the a result of an initiative originally taken by ArtERY (Arts in the East Riding of Yorkshire).

This facility is now provided by Cine North with funding from, Screen Yorkshire and the Lottery.

We would like to thank all those who have supported this venture since 2007 and we sincerely hope that we shall be able to count on your support for the coming season.

If you are one of those who have never experienced this local cinema then we hope we shall be able to tempt you to come along with our varied choice of titles.

"If there is a film you would like to see or if you would like a regular reminder of the forthcoming film, please come and add your details to our lists.
